Due to the recent explosion in the number of edits (see Stats section below), it has become increasingly difficult for the four administrators to check everyone's edits to make sure the rules are being followed and misinformation isn't sneaking in. We have set up the Recent Changes Patrol to help monitor all of this. The patrol is a way to show that each edit has been checked to make sure it conforms to the policies of this wiki. It also prevents a duplication of effort by clearly indicating which edits have and have not been checked.
The Recent Changes Patrol is made up of the four admins (Topher208, RRabbit42, SuperFlash101, and Ard11230) along with our rollback group. JeremyCreek and Phin68 already had this permission, but RRabbit42 and I have hand-picked several more users we have deemed to be trusted users who have shown good faith and civility.
If you've been around the wiki for a while, you know that there are many episode pages that need updating. Some need it more than others.
One user on our wiki has started filling in some of those gaps. They chose one specific item to work on, and they have been updating that section on each episode's page.
This user also made a major addition to the Christmas special a few days after it premiered. The edit more than doubled the size of the page and filled in the episode summary.
They became a registered user in September and have become amongst those who are putting in a lot of extra effort to make this wiki better. For all of these things, Topher and I want to make a special note of their contributions and present a Hard Work Patch to American che.
Hard Work Patch
For adding memorable quotes to the episode pages.. Presented to American che by RRabbit42 and Topher208..
Thank you, American che. Your work is very much appreciated.
If you would like to see what other Accomplishment patches are available and to see how they can be awarded, check out the Accomplishment patches page. You may also want to read the original forum where we discussed creating them.
Bi-Weekly Top 5
as voted on by the members of the wiki
Poll #6: What is Dr. Doofenshmirtz's best scheme or invention in the first half of Season 1?
The votes were pretty evenly spread out this time, with each winner receiving roughly 10 votes each. No come from behind victories, though. The winner in each of the five polls wound up as the finalists, with Candace meeting the talking Zebra as the overall winner.
Hey P&F Fanatics, I came to the conclusion that the first quiz I made was a bit too easy. So, I'm replacing it with this more difficult test! As always, Post your answers on my Talk Page by March 1st 2010. Enjoy!

Mom threw out my snowball. This wasn't just any snowball. It was a very special snowball, but of course, she doesn't look at it that way. To her, it's just snow taking up space in the freezer.
What made it special? It came from them. Those two brothers from the neighborhood.
They made a mountain out of snow. In summer. I could see it from my house. I couldn't believe it! The mountain had a ski lift on it and trees! How do you get trees to grow on a mountain of snow? Hey, that rhymes!
I went over to check it out and it went up and up and up. The Bobsled team seemed really happy that they were able to get in some practice before the winter.
That was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I really need to learn how they're doing that.
Author's note: These two columns will be moving to their new home on the Fanon website. Hopefully this will allow me to catch up to the new episodes quicker than running them in a bi-weekly newsletter. I will be adding the existing columns first and then move on to the new episodes. D.A.T.F. reports — The Book
In the last newsletter, we reported that our wiki was showing a 20% increase in readership and was being featured in the "What's Hot on Wikia" ads appearing on the left side of each page. This is from an internal report generated by Wikia Entertainment, so unfortunately we can't check that whenever we want. We've been outdistanced by other wikis, and now to be featured, it looks like you need to have a 60% increase or higher.
Although we may have lost that spotlight, our wiki has shone in other areas. We have almost 200 registered users making edits each month, and we just need 11 more people to edit at least 5 pages each month in order for us to earn red star status on Wikia's most active communities list. It took us just over a year to reach yellow star status (25+ contributions), and 6 months to reach our current orange star status (50+ contributions). It would be nice to earn a red star before spring. We got a 59% increase in this crucial statistic last month, so we don't have that far to go to hit that 100+ contributions mark. From there, it's just a short reach to be listed as one of the top 16 most active wikis. Number 16 is the Cyber Nations Wiki, with 104 editors making at least 5 edits each month.
We also found another website that shows where people are visiting the wiki from. Over 70% are from the United States, but there are many other countries. The remainder of the top ten are: United Kingdom, Canada, Philippines, Poland, Netherlands, Australia, Vietnam, Mexico and Brazil. As we gain more visitors from other nations, we will look to expand our coverage in other languages via "sister wikis".
Our highest number of visitors in December happened the day after the Christmas special aired on Disney Channel. But that wasn't the highest we've ever had. That happened on October 17th, which was right after the "Cliptastic Countdown" premiered. Again, this was on Disney Channel. We'll have to see what happens in the future, especially if Disney XD continues to lead the way for premieres in the United States.
