Recently, the Forum:New Look for The Main Page was re-opened and reached a consensus at the end of the voting period. The voting period ended with Topher208's version being picked. But there was a problem: Toph had 3 sandbox versions, and no one specified which one they liked. Because of this, the voting was reopened, and this time, for which version you want as the main page. The votes are currently 3 - 1 - 2, meaning 3 want the first version of Toph's to become the main page, 1 wants the main page to be his second version, and 2 want Topher208's third version as the main page. In a few days, the votes will be tallied, and the Main Page will be updated.
With the Forum for the main page going smoothly, we can now start redesigning the Community Portal. Expect updates on this in the next few issues.
Now that we've looked at who our community is and how we can strengthen the relationships amongst the community members we already have, we'll take a look at how to attract new readers in the hopes they join our community.
Do you talk about Phineas and Ferb on other sites? Do you link to the Phineas and Ferb Wiki to let people know where they can go if they need more information on a subject? Most sites don't like it when you just go on their message boards and simply link to the website, but if you're answering a question, you can link to the Wiki without them minding. Another way is to incorporate the link to the wiki into your signature line. As long as you're not posting a comment with only the wiki link, you won't be labelled a spammer. We definitely don't need to be put in that category.
Places like the Internet Movie Database is a good place to go to find casual viewers who might like more information, but don't know about any of the other communities.
Where do you go to talk about Phineas and Ferb? Leave a comment on the blog.
Task force to Major Monogram. Task force to Major Monogram. Come in, Major Monogram.
Monogram to task force. Go ahead.
We followed Dr. Doofenshmirtz to Mount Rushmore. Looks like he's moving inside President Lincoln's statue. He's got a couple of truckloads of stuff, including something big and pointy in the front.
Good work! I better notify Agent P. Oh, wait. He reported in a little bit ago that he will be going on an outing with his family. I can't contact him while he's riding with them or it will blow his cover. Better fire up the ol' wrist communicator tracker and see where he's at.
Good idea, sir.
Oh. The tracker shows he's heading right towards Mount Rushmore. Sheesh, you guys! Couldn't you have called me an hour earlier?
Sorry, sir. We were waiting for Old Reliable to go off.
Focus, people! Now Agent P will have to take the tube all the way from Mount Rushmore back here, then... go... right back there. You know he's gonna give me that look, don't you? The one where he narrows his eyes at you? Yeah, that one.
Uh, we'll just sign off now, sir.
What? Oh, right. Monogram out. Hmmm. Can't contact Agent P to tell him about his mission for a half hour. What to do in the meantime? Carl, you still got that deck of cards somewhere?
